Hawthorn fan Anthony Albanese found himself on the receiving end of some fan backlash on Saturday afternoon.
The Australian Prime Minister was taking in the finals action at Engie Stadium in Sydney as his beloved Hawks took on the GWS Giants in an elimination final.
Sat alongside AFL CEO Andrew Dillon, Albanese had a Hawks scarf draped around his neck as his side moved towards a win away from home.

But towards the latter stages of the third quarter the cameras panned to show the nation’s leader on the big screen.
Almost instantly the mood around the stadium shifted with a chorus of boos beginning to ring out.
Dillon and Albanese quickly looked around to find out what was causing the commotion before spotting themselves on the big screen.
While Dillon shrugged off the noise with a chuckle, the PM didn’t look at all pleased with the treatment he was receiving.
