For the last couple of years, most aviation analysis has been about comparisons back to pre-COVID 2019, but now that's all changing as the comparisons seem to be more about what happened last year rather than four years ago. As an example, the latest seat capacity data from OAG shows there were close to 484 million seats on offer in April, compared to 448 million in April 2023, with no mention of how many were available in 2019.
