An Air ChinaBoeing 777 flying from London to Beijing diverted to Russia this morning after experiencing engine issues. The narrowbody twinjet’s unplanned touchdown in western Siberia was notable for the fact that it has been quite some time since a commercial aircraft that departed from the UK landed in Russia.
