The TSA Has Intercepted 1,500 Guns At US Airports So Far This Year

It shouldn't need to be said, but firearms of any description are not permitted as carry-on items on aircraft. But still, people try. The TSA recently announced that they intercepted more than 1,500 firearms at airport checkpoints across the nation in the first quarter alone. The TSA must constantly remind people not to bring firearms as carry-on luggage on flights. Some people, such as one man found with a handgun in his luggage at Newark Airport, forget they have the firearms in their bags, while others deliberately try to take their guns onboard the aircraft.
