Australia's air navigation services provider, Airservices Australia, is facing off against the two key employee unions that represent the bulk of its workforce providing air traffic control and aviation rescue firefighting services at the nation's busiest airports. The dispute with the air traffic controllers is reaching a climax as they are currently voting on proposed strike action should their claims for improved wages and conditions not succeed.
