The Boeing 737 MAX has proven to be one of the most popular single-aisle jets today despite its chequered past. There have been over 1,900 MAX aircraft delivered since the narrowbody debuted in 2017, and only two of the program’s four variants have entered service thus far. However, the aircraft’s reputation remains questionable in many people’s eyes due to the two deadly crashes involving the type in October 2018 and March 2019, forcing the MAX’s grounding for a period of 20 months.
