Widebody aircraft make up a vital part of the global commercial aircraft fleet. From the Boeing 787 to the Airbus A350, there are several widebody types in service today, connecting distant airports on long-haul routes. As for in-production widebodies, Boeing has its 777 and 787 Dreamliner programs (not forgetting the 767 freighter, of course), while Airbus currently produces the A330 and A350.
