The B-52 Stratofortress is a long-range strategic bomber designed and developed by Boeing. The United States Air Force (USAF) and NASA have primarily operated the aircraft since its early days. The heavy bomber can carry up to 70,000 lbs (32,000 kg) of payload and travel distances of up to 7,650 NM (14,200 km).
