As expected, the Eastern freeway widening is going to be wider than originally indicated.
This means that Koonung trail through the Valda wetlands has been redesigned- together with the whole Valda Wetlands.
The result- more native vegetation to be removed to create yet another path. Given that the proposed site for the new works is outside of the construction zone, a sneaky Permit application has been made to demolish more native trees, including original River gums, outside of the designated work site.
Lies, lies and more lies from the project that should never have been undertaken.
