Network Rail is advising passengers of disruption to rail services through Huddersfield over four August weekends, as the TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) carries out upgrade work along the TransPennine route.
Network Rail and South Western Railway have announced that the Island Line, which runs from Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin on the Isle of Wight, will close for essential maintenance work on Friday, 6 September.
A new footbridge upgrade will be going underway this summer at Longport.
