United Airlines was the first operator and remains among the biggest operators of the Boeing 777. The Boeing 777 is one of the most successful widebody twin-engined commercial aircraft and is currently the largest commercial aircraft in production. The Triple Seven offered United and other airlines a bridge between the smaller Boeing 767 and the larger Boeing 747. It became one of the longest-range commercial passenger aircraft in the world, although today, the longest-range commercial aircraft is the Airbus A350-900ULR.
