The Cessna 172 Skyhawk remains the highest-selling aircraft in history, with over 45,000 airframes built since the program launched in 1956. The larger Cessna 182 Skylane is no slouch either, currently ranking as the sixth best-selling plane in history with over 24,000 built, and is Cessna's second most popular aircraft still in production behind the 172.
