In the earlier years of the commercial aviation industry, traveling withchecked baggage was the norm, and all passengers expected to be able to take larger bags with them on their trips and have them stored in the hold of the aircraft. However, recent decades have seen its popularity dwindle, as customers favor shorter trips and face the all-too-real prospect of having to pay more to bring checked luggage.

As requested by some of our viewers, we’ll be taking a closer look at the fleet of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for today’s video. The carrier is one of the two large members of the Air France-KLM Group along with Air France. Transavia is also in this group but makes up a much smaller proportion of operations. A fair bit has changed since our last examination of the KLM fleet and it looks like more changes are on the horizon. So, let’s take a look at the collection of aircraft operated by the Dutch carrier.
