The first premium economy class cabin was introduced by Taiwan's Eva Air in 1992. Three decades later, it is still a new concept to many travelers, and not every airline offers this class of travel. Different airlines approach the cabin with different levels of attention. For example, the old Norwegian Air's long-haul Dreamliners offered premium economy with more spacious seats and wrapped perks relating to bags and boarding, but not much else. A full-service airline, such as Virgin Atlantic, will also add improved amenities, better meals served on real china, and various other touches to make the upgrade more appealing.
