Congress has upped the United States Air Force's (USAF) F-35 purchases for 2024 by three jets, taking its total F-35 intake this year to 51 aircraft. However, F-35 procurement next year will be lower due to budget constraints and ongoing problems with upgrades for the advanced combat aircraft.
