US engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney has reached a tentative agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM). The news comes after a nearly three-week strike, involving approximately 3,000 P&W employees at the company’s Connecticut facilities. Machinists began their strike on May 4, 2025, calling for stronger job security, higher wages, enhanced retirement benefits, and better health care coverage.
