Just 4h 35m: WestJet Resumes Its Shortest Transatlantic Boeing 737 MAX Flights To Europe

On May 22, in time for the peak summer, WestJet—Canada’s second-largest airline—reintroduced flights from St John’s to Dublin.With a minimum block time of 4h 35m, St John’s to the Irish capital is the carrier’s shortest European route. The relaunch came shortly after the airline introduced new flights from St John’s to Paris CDG and resumed services from Halifax to Paris CDG. With such emphasis on CDG, a major SkyTeam hub, and Halifax to Amsterdam coming on May 29, WestJet may eventually join the alliance.
