Foreign Minister Penny Wong has on Tuesday discussed Pacific funding for the region whilst in Suva, Fiji.
Ms Wong is currently on a tour of the Pacific after the Labor government was re-elected, highlighting the region’s growing challenges, including climate change.
“We have been historically a very fossil fuel-dependent economy,” Ms Wong said.
“We have to transform it, and that is a big task.”
