Victoria’s debt continues to balloon, with the Allan Government handing down its 2025 budget this afternoon.
Net state debt is projected to hit $194 billion by 2028/29, and the state is preparing to cut the equivalent of 1,200 full-time public sector jobs in a move it projects will save around $3 billion.
