The light business jet class is one of the most competitive in the industry. These aircraft can typically accommodate up to eight or ten passengers and fly at a range of around 2,000 nautical miles (2,301 miles). Light private jets are generally used for domestic or regional flights, typically flown by business executives or even pilot owners. This class includes offerings from Honda Aircraft Company, Cessna, and Embraer. This business jet class also maintains a presence with older jets like the Hawker 400, the Learjet 31, and the Learjet 41. One of the unique offerings in this class is built by Pilatus, the Pilatus PC-24.
