Acting V/Line CEO reveals kangaroos are to blame for commuter chaos

V/Line acting CEO Warwick Horsley has apologised for the current state of V/Line services after commuters told 3AW Drive about their experiences.

He revealed trains striking kangaroos have been the reason for why some services have only had three carriages.

“It’s a huge factor at the moment, we’re seeing three times as many kangaroo strikes in the regions … So what we’ve chosen to do, is rather than cancel trains, is try to run every single train where we can,” he told Jacqui Felgate.

  1. The train issues involving poor planning, lack of rolling stock, poor train type choices, poor management, poor maintenance of existing rolling stock and it is the Kangaroos who are the real issue.

Sack that Acting CEO right now.

  2. V/Line assiting CEO rough track conditions and the fact VoLcity are not fit purpose for

    longer routes!!!

They got no cow catcher like older loco haul to protect the train brake pipe etc!!!

Cut the crap V/line Assit CEO !!!

119 ton for 3 cars compared a full length train and loco over a few 100 tons all togeather!!!

Plus rolling stock shprtages!!! Because damaged VoLcitys and VoLcity waiting for Bio wash!

Don’t forget you retired too mamy Classic Fleet and gave away too many locos!

Plus cutting funds to maintance to justify their withdrawal!!
