Pittsburgh International Airport is located around 10 miles from downtown Pittsburgh and is the main international airport serving the greater Pittsburgh area. The airport was first built in 1952, and the airport’s existing terminals were built in 1992 with two terminals that split airport operations. The Landside Terminal includes check-in, security, and baggage facilities, while the X-shaped Airside Terminal has all the gates for aircraft.
