Currently, the commercial aviation industry faces uncertainty going into the peak summer travel months, the busiest season of the year for most airlines. With recession fears in the economy and inflationary concerns in the United States, paired with a decrease in the value of the US Dollar, many carriers are predicting weaker demand in key high-yielding transatlantic markets for the upcoming summer travel season. Despite these somewhat grim prospects, many airlines are still confident in their ability to achieve strong performance this summer.
