The Boeing 747 is a truly iconic aircraft, both in appearance and in how it revolutionized the aviation industry. The aircraft entered commercial service in January 1970 with Pan Am on a flight from New York to London, and soon became a firm favorite with passengers around the world. The final commercial Boeing 747 was delivered to Korean Air in July 2017, and US passenger operations with the 747 ended in January 2018, when Delta Air Lines operated its final flight with the aircraft.
