Emirates expects to receive its long-awaited Boeing 777X widebody aircraft by the end of 2026, the airline’s chairman and chief executive officer, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, said during a media roundtable at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai. The news comes despite the airline expressing doubts earlier this year about receiving the 777X by 2026. Emirates is currently awaiting 205 Boeing 777X deliveries and is the world’s largest customer of the type.
