The Mile High City celebrated a rather huge milestone on Wednesday, welcoming the first of regularly scheduled flights on the Airbus A380. The inaugural flight, operated by Lufthansa, touched down at Denver International Airport (DEN) in the early afternoon to much fanfare.

Most aviation enthusiasts LOVE the A380. Passengers, who aren’t avgeeks, seem to love the type as well – due to its relatively quiet cabin and feeling of spaciousness. While Abu Dhabi-based Etihad has decided to bring more of its A380s out of storage, the type is, overall, on the decline.
