On April 24th, Lufthansa Group’s MRO division – Lufthansa Technik – posted to social media announcing that it had completed its final C-Check on the A340-600, bidding the aircraft farewell. We’ve known for some time now that this Airbus quadjet is being taken out of service this year – and this recent Lufthansa Technik announcement is just another one of those steps towards the type’s exit from service with the German carrier.
