Perhaps the most famous airships are the iconic Zeppelins – including the successful Graf Zeppelin and the ill-fated Hindenburg. Airships never truly went away. They continued to find niche uses in advertising, tourism, geological surveys, aerial observations, and more thanks to their ability to hover for long periods.
