Do you remember the 2004 movie "The Terminal," in which Tom Hanks plays an Eastern European man who gets stuck in New York's JFK Airport (JFK) after being refused entry into the United States? Well, the film was inspired by the real-life experience of Mehran Karimi Nasseri, an Iranian refugee who lived in the departure lounge of Terminal 1 at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) for almost 18 years.
