European ultra-low-cost carrier Ryanair has, more than any other ultra-low-cost carrier on the continent, expanded rapidly since its formation in 1984. Traditionally, the airline capitalized on the European Union's single aviation market, which allowed the airline to operate flights across the EU and between a set of nations and those outside the continent.
