A Maltese carrier, Universal Air, has commenced its scheduled regional operations using its recently introduced De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Q400 turboprop aircraft. Focusing on regional travel across the Mediterranean, the new airline aims to blend the cost-efficiency of a budget airline with the premium economy service of a traditional carrier.
