US DOT Approves United Airlines Plan For 5th Freedom Asian Flights From Hong Kong

The United States Department of Transportation (DOT) has approved United Airlines’ plan to operate fifth freedom flights to Bangkok, Thailand, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with a stop in Hong Kong. This will make the Chicago-based carrier the only US airline offering daily services to both Southeast Asian destinations.
