The United States Department of Transportation (DOT) has approved United Airlines’ plan to operate fifth freedom flights to Bangkok, Thailand, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with a stop in Hong Kong. This will make the Chicago-based carrier the only US airline offering daily services to both Southeast Asian destinations.
