The airport landscape in Switzerland is rather unique in comparison to most other European countries. For the most part, air travel markets in Europe are dominated by a single major airport, such as London Heathrow Airport (LHR) in the United Kingdom or Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in France. In Switzerland, however, the joint business hubs of Zurich and Geneva each have their own major international hub, the former of which will be the topic of this piece.
