British Airways has a long and diverse history, and is able to trace its roots back more than 100 years to 1919, based on the predecessors of the airlines that eventually merged to form the UK flag carrier in 1974. In the more than five decades that the airline has been operating under its current name, it has applied a variety of different liveries to its aircraft, many of which are still missed today.
