The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with acting Administrator Chris Rocheleau has announced a goal of hiring 2,000 more air traffic controllers around the United States of America. As many current United States air traffic controllers are retiring, and a current shortfall of 3,833 air controllers, according to the leader of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association in Nick Daniels – which according to Daniels and United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby is why US air traffic control is in crisis.
