Why Was The USAAF P-39 Airacobra Not Sent To Europe During WW2?

The Bell P-39 Airacobra was a fighter primarily produced by US-based aerospace manufacturer Bell Aircraft for the United States Army Air Forces during the Second World War. However, the aircraft ultimately never ended up entering service in the European Theater during the war. The plane was one of the principal American fighters in service when the United States entered the conflict. The P-39 was actually used extensively by the Soviet Air Force during the war, which achieved an excellent track record with the type, according to the Military Aviation Museum.
