Following the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) decision to inject more competition at Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA), the US Congress directed the Secretary of Transportation to grant 10 slot exemptions to air carriers for operations at DCA for either within- or beyond-perimeter routes.
