IDATE presents four major awards to leading global operators

Malaysian telco YTL Communications and telecoms infrastructure firm Bullish Aim Group announced on Monday they have formed a joint venture to develop fibre infrastructure to support the growth of data centres in Johor.

National operator Tunisie Telecom has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Medusa, the submarine fibre optic system connecting the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic and the Red Sea.

Internet and banking services were reportedly disrupted in Mauritius on Friday due to a technical glitch with the South Africa Far East (SAFE) submarine cable, although connectivity was restored late the same day.
