In the United States, there are four major airlines which all have the largest shares of the domestic airline market. Three of these airlines, American Airlines, United Airlines, and Delta Air Lines, are full-service network carriers, which means they primarily focus on offering convenient services for business travelers and premium leisure travelers. These airlines all operate hub-and-spoke systems in which they connect passengers through their hub airports through what is known as a system of arriving flight waves and departing flight banks.
