Where Does The US Air Force NGAD Program Stand?

At the end of 2024, the United States Air Force announced that it was leaving the fate of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) manned sixth-generation fighter to the incoming Trump Administration. Even more recently, Pratt & Whitney and GE Electric have completed the first all-detailed design reviews (DDRs) of their XA103 and XA102 adaptive cycle engines for the new fighter jet. The Trump Administration has now been in office for a month, so what is the latest on the Air Force’s ambitious new stealth manned fighter?
