Just over 17 years ago, a Boeing 737 operated by privately owned Indonesian carrier Adam Air was involved in a strange incident that caused its fuselage to bend after touching down at its destination. The aircraft was written off, and the incident significantly impacted the airline, which ceased operations a year later.
