Why Blue Islands’ New 3h30m ATR 72 Flights To Prague Are So Expensive

When all services by all airlines are considered, the ATR's average flight this year is blocked at 1h 10m and covers 199 miles (320 km). The ATR 72, in particular, is a great aircraft: it has a good size and excellent economics for short sectors, for which speed isn't as important. The contrast with the Dash 8 Q400 – which flies much faster and burns much more fuel – couldn't be starker.
