The United States enjoyed a phenomenal year for military exports reaching a total of $318.7 billion in sales in Fiscal Year 2024—a 33.7% increase over Fiscal Year’s $238.4 billion. This includes $200.8 billion in Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and $117 billion in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. Meanwhile, Russia’s exports have collapsed to the point of being largely irrelevant on the international export market. The Jamestown Foundation reports Russia’s exports have collapsed by 92% between 2021 and 2024.
