We recently saw a special anniversary in the history of commercial aviation, with January 30th, 2025 marking 37 years since United Airlines set a very wholesome world record. Flying a Boeing 747SP, the US legacy carrier flew around the world in the fastest time ever, raising thousands of dollars for charity in the process. The flight showcased the long-haul credentials of the 747SP, and went down in history.
