On Tuesday, January 28th, Daher, the parent company of both TBM and Kodiak, revealed it had completed the delivery of two TBM 960s to Conair Group Inc. These aircraft, which will become known as “birddog” airplanes, were delivered to Conair for use in aerial firefighting operations. This means the aircraft will be deployed over active wildfires to monitor the affected area, assess risks, and help to strategize the drops of water or retardant by other aerial firefighting aircraft.
