The Chinese Comac C919 narrowbody passenger jet is built to compete with the Boeing 737 and the Airbus A321. It is a significant stepping stone in China’s quest to become a large commercial passenger jet manufacturer. While the engines and the bulk of the aircraft’s avionics and flight control systems are sourced from Western countries, it is the first time a non-Western country has successfully developed and introduced a commercial jet of this size since the USSR ( the Russian MC-21 has been halted by sanctions). Here are the C919’s busiest routes by number of flights for February 2025 according to data from Cirium, an aviation analytics company.
