€210 million contract signed for 15 mtero trains for use in Lille

Alstom has secured a contract to supply fifteen additional metros fitted with an on-board signalling and automated control system to Lille in France.

A Technical Support and Spares Supply Agreement (TSSSA) has been signed by Alstom and Great Western Railway.

European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 1 has been successfully completed by Alstom on the Head of Series (HoS) for the IÉ 22000 Class.

Alstom is marking Remembrance Day today, 11th November, with a special tribute to Crewe’s railway workers who lost their lives in both world wars.
