London Heathrow (LHR) has long been the largest and busiest airport in the United Kingdom, with the facility also ranking highly among Europe’s (and indeed the whole world’s) leading hubs. This was recently underlined by the airport’s announcement that it just experienced its busiest-ever December, resulting in 2024 also being its busiest-ever year, with 83.9 million passengers passing through its doors.
