Airports are some of a country’s most important infrastructure, and sometimes their operators are among the largest companies in smaller countries. The value of an airport operator can be influenced by many factors. For example, an operator may own the airport ( as in the case of Auckland Airport), an operator may have contracts to operate many airports, and an operator may have other business interests and be more of a conglomerate (as in the case of GMR Group). Many airports are publically owned and operated and so don’t appear on this list. Here are the ten largest airport operators by market capitalization, according to CompaniesMarketcap.com as of the time of writing (January 2025).
