The Boeing C-17 Globemaster III is the United States Air Force’s second-largest strategic airlifter (after the C-5M Super Galaxy – the largest US airlifter service). The C-17 Globemaster III was designed during the Cold War period and first flew in 1991 entering service four years later in 1995. They are currently in service in nine air forces around the world (including the UK, Australia, Canada, India, and a number of Gulf states).
